Global Technology is proud to announce it has received the AMCHAM Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence (ACE) Award for its outstanding national-level response during the Richter Scale 7.7 earthquake that struck Myanmar earlier this year.
This recognition reflects Global Technology’s strong commitment to ensuring the continuity of national processes, providing aid in emergencies, and demonstrating responsible corporate leadership.
The powerful earthquake on March 28, 2025, caused widespread communications disruption across many buildings nationwide. However, Global Technology’s Earthquake-resilient fiber backbone and Cloud Data Infrastructure ensured uninterrupted services for critical sectors, including national banks and financial systems, mobile operators, government ministries, emergency response platforms, and essential business networks.
While conventional communication systems faced outages, GlobalNet’s network system, built with Redundancy, Smart Routing Automation, and Real-time Monitoring, withstood the seismic event without any data loss.
GlobelNet’s GlobalNet Cloud Data Center, specially engineered for earthquake resistance, maintained 100% Uptime without the need for failover. This action played a key role in safeguarding essential communication channels during the nation’s time of emergency.
In addition to maintaining communication lines, Global Technology actively collaborated with government agencies and private organizations to restore damaged systems and accelerate the nation’s digital recovery efforts.
This effort highlights Global Technology’s conviction: “Building resilience is a national responsibility.” Preparedness during times of crisis saved lives, protected critical data, and preserved public trust.
We sincerely thank AMCHAM Myanmar for this recognition and reaffirm our commitment to furthering reliable and secure national Digital Infrastructure for Myanmar.
