During the incident, GlobalNet’s resilient infrastructure design ensured that its “enterprise” and “business user” segments, particularly those using Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), remained largely unaffected through existing redundant links. Consumer customers, however, experienced a noticeable slowdown due to temporary capacity constraints.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of the GlobalNet engineering team, the activation of additional redundancy solutions via vital alternative submarine cable facilities and the enhanced cross border terrestrial route was expedited. This strategic activation, combined with optimization of existing backup infrastructure, enabled the full restoration of all services significantly ahead of initial projections.
